WAAVP membership is open to veterinarians and others who are actively interested in the advancement of veterinary parasitology.

There are four categories of membership:

1. Regular Member (Dues US$15.00/year)

a. Veterinarians
b. Non-veterinarians who are university or college graduates and who are directly engaged in research, advisory work or teaching concerned with parasites of veterinary importance.

2. Associate Member (Dues US$15.00/year)

a. The Executive Committee shall, at their discretion, have power to elect to associate membership persons of high reputation in the field of veterinary parasitology who are not otherwise qualified for membership under Section 5.

3. Honorary Member (No Dues)

a. Candidates for WAAVP honorary membership may be:

i. Nominated by the Executive Committee.
ii. Nominated by a named proposer and seconder.
iii. Such nomination must be accompanied by a curriculum vitae of the candidate and a description of his scientific activities.
iv. The nominations must be in the hands of the Secretary at least six months prior to the next WAAVP Conference.
v. Honorary members are elected by the Executive Committee if at lease 8 of the 10 committee members agree.

4. Corporate Members (Dues US $1000/year)

a. Available on invitation to pharmaceutical companies and other organizations with an interest in the control of animal parasites.

Payment of dues may be made by check (on a US bank only), in cash (US dollars only) or by credit card (Visa, Mastercard). More than one year may be paid at a time.

Membership entitles you to receipt of the WAAVP Newsletter, reduced registration fees at the WAAVP International Conferences, participation in the development of anthelmintic guidelines, access to unique areas of the website and membership database and association with the world community of veterinary parasitologists. Full copies of WAAVP Guidelines are available on the website for members, as well as full copies of the newsletter.
