Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Sub-committee

The sub-committee is responsible for promoting the equitable inclusion, fairness, just and equal opportunities, voice, rights and access to resources for all its membership in all WAAVP activities. In this capacity, they have delivered a policy on the principles of equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) among its membership and leadership, including attendees at its conferences. The sub-committee will monitor and publicize EDI statistics in WAAVP to help the organization maximize its commitment to these principles.

Information

The World Association for the Advancement of Veterinary Parasitology (WAAVP) is a not-for-profit organization for scientists who study the parasites of non-human animals, encompassing helminthology, protozoology and entomology. WAAVP membership is open to veterinarians and others who are actively interested in the advancement of veterinary parasitology, anywhere in the world. Members receive a newsletter twice a year and members are welcome, and encouraged, to contribute to this. The Association gathers at a biennial scientific conference.
